On Saturday, March 17th, 2012 we blessed Nathaniel Joel Meyers. We blessed Nate on Saturday at our home so we could Skype with Kyle's parents in Sri Lanka during the blessing. This way Kyle's parents would be able to be a part of this special occassion even though they cannot be physically present. We had set the blessing time to be 7:30 pm on Saturday evening, but then my dad was singing in our stake's living pictures presentation "A Night in Zarahemla" and needed it pushed back 15 minutes. So it ended up being around 7:45 pm. We had dinner with everyone who came around 6 o'clock pm so everyone could eat prior to the blessing. My house was super busy that evening with all of the aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins that came to share in Nathaniel's blessing. Grandpa Reddington, Uncle Jason, Uncle Scott, Uncle Danny, Jason VanLeuven, and Bishop Crane joined Kyle in the circle to bless Nathaniel. Uncle Jason even got to remind Bishop Crane to stand on Kyle's right shoulder. It was a wonderful evening. The timing even turned out great since the bishop was just barely getting back from a camping trip and got to our home around the same time as my father. Many people headed home after the blessing. Crystal, Danny and their three children headed back to Blackfoot. Jason, Angie and their four kids went back to Star, Idaho. Caitlin, Scott and Catherine were considering going back to Boise, but after Jason called saying it was snowing hard on the freeway between here and Twin they decided to wait until Sunday morning to leave. Elisa and Shayne took off early Sunday morning (5am) to get back to Moscow that evening. Great-Grandma Reddington even came down for the blessing and headed back to Boise on Satruday evening with her visiting teacher that gave her a ride. It was a busy day, but wonderful to have all those who came join us for this special event.

Happy Birthday Jonathen
Jonathen turned 2 years old on Friday, March 16th, 2012. He was so excited for his birthday and has been talking about his birthday all month long. He will tell anyone who will listen to him that his birthday is March. He hasn't gotten the 16th part of it, but he sure knows his birthday is in March. On Friday we opened presents from his parents and siblings and got his favorite dinner. For those of you who don't know, that means we had pizza. Jonathen loves pizza. We then went to a living pictures presentation called "A Night in Zarahemla" put on by our stake. My dad was singing one of the songs and we went to watch. Jonathen and Wesley did seem to enjoy it and loved seeing the living pictures. After the presentation we went out to Kiwi Loco for ice cream and some of my family joined us there. The next day we had planned a birthday party at Snake River Bowl in Burley. Jason's family, Crystal's family, Caitlin's family, Elisa and her son, my parents, my grandma Reddington, and Jennifer joined us at the bowling alley for pizza, cake, and bowling. Everyone seemed to have a good time. After an hour and a half we headed home for some much needed naps for the kids and to prepare for Nate's baby blessing that evening. Jason and his family joined us at our home and my siblings headed to my parent's house. Overall, Jonathen had a great party and really enjoyed his birthday. Happy Birthday Big Guy.

Growing all the time.
It's that time again. Doctor appointment time. This one was for Jonathen. He had his 2 year well baby check up on Friday the 16th. I know, happy birthday to him. Jon did really well. He talked to the doctor and let the doctor listen to his heart and look in his ears, eyes and mouth without any problem. He was very well behaved and only cried when the nurse gave him his shot. Just one this time and then he does not need another vaccination until he is five and getting ready to go to school. Now for his stats. Jonathen weighs 26 lbs (25th percentile) and is 36 inches tall (75th percentile). I am raising yet another tall skinny boy.
