Wesley's 1st Day of Primary

Wesley has been so excited to go to Primary.  We have been preparing him to sit in singing/sharing time and to go to class and listen.  He even got a scripture bag for Christmas so he could be a big boy.  I was unable to be there on his first day since I had to work on New Years Day.  However, Grandma and Daddy were both there to make sure he got settled in okay.  When they took Wesley into the primary room it was utter chaos.  All of the kids had been told to come to the primary room so they could be moved into their new classes.  However, they were not allowing any of the kids to sit down so they were all milling about in the back of the room waiting for their name to be called.  The Primary president welcomed the new sunbeams even though you could not see any of them and from the back of the room Wesley says, "I'm here!"  He was just so excited to be a big boy and not go to nursery.  They started with the oldest kids and read through the entire roll even though about half of each roll was not there.  Finally they got everyone settled down.  They had sharing time and then singing time.  Wesley got to help in singing time and was thrilled.  Grandma said he was very good and listened to his substitute teacher.  Yes, we spent all that time preparing him for his teacher and she was not even there.  Oh well, at least he listened to the sub who was there.  Then they went to class.  Wesley learned how he was a child of God and he even learned some more of the song.  Which by the way the second verse says, "And so my knees are great."  Apparently we have great knees not great needs.  It was funny listening to him sing it to us later.  He was given a CTR ring, but promptly lost it.  I will probably need to get him another one.  He had a great time and was very well behaved.  Hopefully, he will continue to be this happy to go to Primary.
